After last season's view of fashion through Francis Bacon's eyes, Dries decided to go back to his home territory - the world travelling woman. There was a definite Malaysian and Indonesian influence in the cut of the clothing and the fabrics, but the fabrics did definitely have a much more lux quality than what you would see if you were just shopping in a market in Asia. The ikats and batiks were absolutely beatiful, as was the embellishments that were touches on many of the pieces. The jewelry was also fantastic! Personally, this is what I've always loved the most about Dries and what he does, so I'm happy to see him go back to his roots!
